Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service. Servicing the communities of Cape York, with the main office is located in Cairns, Apunipima delivers public health care, and social and emotional well-being care, to community members. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Maintenance Administrator to join our team based in Cairns. This is a permanent full-time position as part of a small team.

About the Opportunity

  • Coordinating and scheduling regular maintenance activities for all company facilities
  • Managing and maintaining records of all maintenance work, including repairs and upgrades
  • Assisting in developing and implementing infrastructure improvement plans
  • Collaborating with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities
  • Providing administrative support for infrastructure projects, including budget tracking and procurement processes
  • Assisting in conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to infrastructure and maintenance management

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure management and maintenance
  • Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Strong understanding of building services and facilities management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience in managing contractors and external service providers
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial management related to infrastructure maintenance
